APC Zamfara drags INEC to court over primaries
The Federal High court sitting in Gusau, Zamfara state has confirmed it's power of jurisdiction to handle a case filed in by the All Progressives Congress APC Zamfara state chapter against the national headquarters and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC over the primary elections conducted within the time given by the INEC in the state.
The APC Zamfara state chapter has in the case which was filed in before the court seeking the court to direct the INEC and APC National headquarters to accept the primaries and it's results been conducted by the party in the state.
Attesting the court jurisdiction over the case, the Presiding Judge, Justice Fadima Murtala proclaimed that according to section 18 (3) of the court act the case is within the court right.
She therefore has affirmed that, the court had all rights and capacity to continue with the case as according to supporting laws.
The case was adjourned to next week Tuesday October 23, 2018 for continuation.
