Following the smear campaign orchestrated by opponents of the Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a civil society group Peace and Anti- Corruption Advocacy has called on well – meaning Nigerians to discountenance the ongoing toxic campaign of calumny against the governor as it is borne out of malice and propaganda.

In a press statement made available to news men recently by the national coordinator of the of the group, Comrade James Okoronkwo, they urged the good people of Kano State and the general public to be wary of the antics of fifth columnists who are envious of the giant strides so far recorded by the Ganduje administration and are battling day and night to discredit the government and derail the wheel of progress in the state.

Furthermore, Peace and Anti-Corruption Advocacy stated that the architect of so called online video is a notorious serial blackmailer and media aide to Senator Kwankwanso.

“Recalling that Jaafar Jaafar’s online medium have consistently viewed the Ganduje administration from a wrong perspective.

“We make bold to state that Gov. Ganduje is transparent and that in this era of internet and its make believe, the online video allegedly indicting the Kano State governor is photo shop and make believe and therefore a figment of the imagination of the enemies of Gov. Ganduje and must be thrown to the dustbin”.

Finally, the group urged the people of Kano State to remain steadfast in their support of the Ganduje administration saying that “Corruption is fighting back in Kano State”.
