2019: Coalition of South East Socio-political organizations endorse Buhari

Coalition of South East Socio-Political group has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for 2019 presidential contest.

The groups namely, South East APC Political Forum, Igwebuike Youths Association of Nigeria and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing of FCT made this known Wednesday in Abuja while on a courtesy visit to Buhari Support Organization (BSO).

Speaking during the visit, Chairman of South East APC Political Forum, Hon. Valentine Ezekwe who introduced the members and pledged the group’s support for President Buhari stated in strong terms that groups have unanimously agreed to support Buhari in his reelection bid.

He noted that Igbo race has contributed greatly in socio-Economic development of the nation as an indivisible entity.

A minute silence was observed in the honour of the Late Emmanuel Ezeazu who died while in service of the party and his fatherland.

Also speaking, President of Igwebuike Youth Association, Comrade Chukwudubem Nebedum made case for logistics from the BSO to enable the groups embark on effective Door-to-Door campaign within the South East Zone and FCT to ensure President Buhari’s victory in 2019.

The Ohanaeze FCT Youths Wing President, Hon. Chinedu Otuonye noted that Igbos deserve more than the Vice-Presidency slot the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)was offering them.

He said the Igbos stand the chance of clinching the presidency in 2023 if only they support Buhari’s candidature.

Responding, Leader of BSO, Dr. M. B. Shehu said that Buhari doesn’t hate the Igbos as believed by most South Easterners.

He said that many projects that Buhari’s government is doing in South East like the Second Niger Bridge, Enugu-Onitsha Expressway is a testimony that he is a truly Igbo lover.
