Moscow
has felt the warmth of China-Russia friendly relationship as Chinese President
Xi Jinping arrived in the city for a state visit to Russia on June 5th
2019.
From
seminars and the signing of agreements, to exhibitions and exchanges, various
activities and fruitful outcomes turn out to be a vivid embodiment of the great
strides taken by China and Russia to elevate their relations into a new era.
China-Russia
relationship is at its best in history, and it could be explained by three “goods”,
three “highests”, as well as three “news”.
China
and Russia are good neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, good friends
support each other, and good partners conducting sincere cooperation. The three
“goods” explains how the two countries get along with each other.
The
Chinese and Russian people have built a profound friendship in jointly fighting
against fascist aggressions, conducting numerous friendly exchanges in the past
70 years.
The
China-Russia friendship has withstood the test of time and history. It conforms
to the common aspirations of the two peoples and has become an endogenous
driving force for long-lasting ties.
The
relationship between China and Russia features the highest degree of mutual
trust, the highest level of coordination and the highest strategic value. This
reflects the level of development and the significance of China-Russia
relationship.
Under
the leadership of President Xi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin,
China-Russia friendly cooperation has continued to develop and entered into a
golden era.
The
two heads of state have a highly consistent understanding of the strategic
significance of China-Russia relations and share common determination and aspiration
to promote the sustained and in-depth development of bilateral relations.
The
relationship between the two countries is based on equality, mutual trust,
mutual support, common prosperity and lasting friendship, and features
non-alliance, non-confrontation and not targeting any third party. In addition,
the relationship between the two countries has solid public support.
It
is exactly because of all these reasons that China-Russia relationship has
remained unshakable and become even firmer as time goes by, injecting
strong positive energy into the complicated
international landscape.
Many
think tank experts, when talking about the future of China-Russia relationship,
agree that the bilateral ties are standing at the new starting point in
history, have reached a new historical position and are facing new historic
opportunities.
Focusing
on the
present, China and Russia share the need for development and revitalization.
The comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, with rich content and
strategic significance, and covering a wide range of fields, is facing new
opportunities.
Looking
into the future, China and Russia will deepen cooperation, and support and
reinforce each other. The two countries are fully confident and capable of
ushering in a higher level of development based on their experience and
achievements over the past 70 years.
The
two countries will ceaselessly enhance political mutual trust and develop their
relations. The decision
made by Xi and Putin to lift the China-Russia comprehensive strategic
partnership of coordination to a new stage has further boosted the confidence
of global people.
Wen
Yi, an 82-year-old research scholar of Russian history
and culture, declared that he felt he is still young and will maintain passionate
about promoting China-Russia cultural exchanges and mutual learning.
Igor
Ivanov, former Foreign Minister of Russia and President of the Russian
International Affairs Council, expects to see the two countries celebrate their
100th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations with greater
achievements.
For
China and Russia, two major countries pursuing long-lasting friendship, their
relationship is in prime time after 70 years of development.
