Nigeria@59: AANI salutes Nigerians, urges support for government policies

The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has congratulated Nigerians on their 59th Independence celebration.

The association also used the occasion to call on all citizens to support government policies at all levels.

In a press statement released in Abuja Monday and signed by the Association’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ogbonna Onyeisi, it noted that AANI celebrates with Nigerians at the 59th anniversary of their nationhood.

It also informed that the foremost National Think Tank is of the conviction that the nation has a bright future if the citizens support the policies and strategic efforts of government at all levels.

According to the statement, “The policies of the government that led to the establishment of many strategic institutions in Nigeria, including the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) which is celebrating 40th anniversary this year are strategic policies and efforts of our founding fathers towards building  a great nation every generation of Nigeria should be proud of.

“We as citizens must support these strategic policies to make our own efforts through our patriotism, tolerance and work towards making the unity and future of our country bright.

The statement noted that AANI as an alumni  organization of the strategic institution of government will continue to support government activities at all levels through policy advocate, recommendations, and implementation strategies.

Continuing, Onyeisi assured that through to its cardinal objective which is "Towards a Better Society" AANI will always strive to uphold human development towards achieving a better and prosperous society that will be beneficial to all.

“AANI under the leadership of former IGP, MD Abubakar (rtd),CFR,Mni is aware of the challenges facing our country as a developing nation and believes that with enormous potential of our country in both materials and human resources, we can surmount these challenges and move towards achieving a great nation” the statement concluded.
