NGO condemns abduction of nine kids

The Anti kidnapping, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse and Drug Abuse Initiatives (AKH TRACADA) has in strong terms condemned the abduction of Nine (9) kids in the ancient city of Kano, by a syndicate.
While calling for the prosecution of those found culpable, the National President / CEO of the AKH TRACADA, Primate Belonwu Ezeanyaeche, commends the Anti kidnapping squad of the Kano State Police Command for the arrest of the kidnapper and the rescue of the kids in the commercial centre of Onitsha, Anambra State.
In a press statement released in Abuja at the weekend by the organization and signed by its National President, Primate Ezeanyaeche, it urged parents to always be security conscious and monitor their children within and outside their school.
He also called for proper investigation into the kidnapping Saga saying there is the need to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Ezeanyaeche said the call is aimed at curbing the ugly trend of kidnapping in the country.
Primate Ezeanyaeche further condemned the rampant cases of defilement of minors and under aged children by men who supposed to be their fathers and appealed to States Government for quick passage of the child Rights Law which protects the fundamental rights and welfare of every child in Nigeria.
The organization however, urge security agencies to intensify efforts at making the country safe for citizens and at the same time demand that Nigerians should continue to pray for the country to overcome the current security challenges.
