Jigawa floods: Communities get relief

Some communities ravaged by severe flooding in Central Jigawa State within the week got relief from notable sons from the state who donated cash and other materials to cushion the effect of the disaster.
Mustapha Lamido, a senatorial aspirant from the community was among those who donated cash and other relief materials to the community in Central Senatorial District.
Lamido called on state and Federal government to come to the assistance of those ravaged by flood in other to rescue the farming communities.
He said, his assistance to the area is borne out of personal conviction not to allow the peasant farmers go hungry after the rainy season.
Mustapha Lamido, a front line senatorial aspirant says government has all it takes to rescue the agrarian communities from the floods which has consumed considerable portion of land in the area.
Lamido pledged to enthrone quality representation of the zone at the national assembly once elected as senator.
